90th birthday open house held

A 90th birthday open house celebrating was held on Sunday, Feb. 14, a the First United Methodist Church of Troy for Peg Cobleigh.
She relates that birthdays are a celebration of life and a reminder that we have the good fortune to be with the people who mean the most to us, and she has been so very blessed to have had 90 great years of good health and wonderful memories.
Peg retired after 25 and a half years as bookkeeper for The North Penn Gas Company in Troy.
She was honored as “Woman of the Year” in 1976 by The Business and Professional Women. She was auditor for Armenia Township for several years, served on the Election Board, and was treasurer for the Troy Senior Citizens Club.
For many years she and her husband Ted were active in The Grand Paraders Square Dance Club, of which she served as corresponding secretary.
She has been a member of The First United Methodist Church of Troy for 60 years.
