Business Wire, Feb 5, 2008
ATLANTA — Cypress Care today announced the appointment of Robert (Bob) Kulbick to the position of chief marketing officer. Recognized in the risk management industry for his leadership and expertise, Kulbick will direct Cypress Care’s sales, account management and marketing teams as they support Cypress Care’s strategic growth initiatives. He brings more than 15 years of experience in product and service marketing, client relations and business development to Cypress Care’s senior leadership team. As the former president and chief executive officer of RSKCo and Crawford Integrated Services, Bob has expertise developing and implementing new systems for managing claims and standardizing the workers’ compensation claims-reporting process.
“As health costs continue to increase, we expect that Cypress Care’s clinical and technical expertise in pharmacy benefit management and ancillary health care solutions for reduced costs will play a key role in the company’s accelerated growth,” said David A. George, chief executive officer of Cypress Care. “Bob will play a critical part in this growth and we are excited to have him on our executive team.”
In addition to his role as CEO for two of the largest third party administrators in the country, Bob also held senior leadership positions at ACE, AIG, Inc., Kemper, Procter & Gamble and Frito Lay, Inc. Bob is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and has an MBA from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania.
“I am excited to join Cypress Care in its mission to help our customers improve their financial and clinical outcomes and to help people get back to work and back to life following an injury,” said Kulbick

It was while doing this that I stumbled across an online course that sound of interest through the University of Colorado.
Living in Uganda in 1998 provided it?s own unique challenges to online learning. In-home Internet access was nonexistent. The first Internet caf? in the country didn?t start up until 1999 and in 1998 there wasn?t even a hint that one might be starting. When it did come it was 30 kilometers away in the capitol. Fortunately, my wife?s work did have e-mail and the course I took didn?t require any type of live chats or other forums. Instead, once we had registered for the course we got a list of books to read and a list of assignments. While still in the states I e-mailed the instructor to make sure she didn?t have a problem with the situation and she e-mailed back that she would love to have me take the course.
The course turned out to be a huge success for me personally. The keys to this success were the same keys that make online learning ideal for many individuals. Most importantly at the time was the mobility that it afforded.

Use plenty of visuals, whether that be Powerpoint, props or visual imagery. Being able to see or imagine something brings it alive in a fresh and powerful way.
6. You will probably need to speak more slowly, more clearly and more loudly than you would naturally. A normal conversational pace can come across as a gabble in a presentation.
7. And most importantly of all ? look as though you are enjoying yourself! Moods and emotions are catching, and if you look as though you are happy to be there, talking to them, your audience will be more responsive.
Enjoy putting these tips into practice and you will become a popular presenter!
